In this 3-week childbirth educational course which meets once a week, expectant moms and their partners will prepare for labor, learn what happens during labor physically and emotionally, and how to nourish and comfort yourselves during pregnancy, labor and postpartum recovery. We practice many different techniques for coping with labor, including labor positions, relaxation, guided imagery, theories of a calm birth, and various comfort measures. The class also includes discussion of Informed Choice, common interventions, pain relief options (pharmacological and non-pharmacological), and hospital birth, birth center birth and home birth.
This fun interactive childbirth education series will prepare expectant parents for birth. Beyond typical hospital procedures and policies, this evidence-based, CAPPA certified class will give you the tools to manage labor and all that comes with it to create the best possible birth experience for your family. Breastfeeding will "briefly" be discussed, but taking a class focused on this specific topic is encouraged.
Expectant mothers should attend with their partners. Handouts and a workbook are included. Class size is limited to ensure all students leave feeling prepared for this important life event!
Sweet Beginnings has crafted and designed the only 3 week childbirth series in Denver and the surrounding area and we are so proud that over the years we have seen this class grow and know that with our hard work and dedication, your family gains the knowledge, education and empowerment to make informed decisions about your little ones upcoming arrival.

Coaches Corner Workshop (Daddies ONLY)
This is a must for all daddies-to-be!
This one-time INFORMAL class is designed for expectant fathers and is for Daddies Only. An experienced dad (dad of 3) along w/ a newbie dad (little one under a year) co-facilitate this class that emphasizes the important roles of the new dad.
During this class, we touch on the simple basics of your newborn when it comes to feeding, holding, crying and sleeping.
Please note, again this is an informal class setting where there is no handouts, worksheets or homework. It is a class we designed for daddies knowing they are looking for an outlet and needed some empowerment on their own that they are going to be amazing. We as mommas know how important it is to have you by our side and we may not always show it or display it so we would like dads to understand that other daddies are feeling the same and w/o women present, you can be more open w/ your "guy" talk and certain topics. Daddies need an outlet just as much as mommies and we understand!
As a “coach”, you’re going to be educated and empowered more in the understanding of fatherhood to better yourself and your family relationships. We will discuss topics as:
What kind of father will YOU be?
Forming a new family
Birth and bonding for YOU as the dad
Troubleshooting your crying newborn
Work and family balance
Caring for a new mom
Your role as a protector
All is a safe environment.
Please register under the new Dad's name.
