Valerie DeMasi is a licensed Massage Therapist and a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. She graduated from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 2002 and attended an intensive training through the International Institute of Infant Massage in 2006. Valerie specializes in Normalization of Soft Tissue (NST), Trigger Point Therapy and Integrative Massage. These techniques are very helpful in relieving lower back pain, tightness of the neck and shoulders and other muscle pain associated with pregnancy and the demands of being a mother. Scientific research shows massage during pregnancy has many benefits. A few of these benefits include decreased stress hormone levels, less back pain, increase in muscle tone and enhances flexibility which is beneficial for the birth and caring touch of newborns by their new mothers.
